Hi all,
Glad to find another UK forum - choice is a great thing and reading a few posts on here, it looks like a friendly place.
I have a very modest reef tanks (just three foot) without a sump. No grand plans for a huge upgrade to take up the perfect space along my lounge wall either (well, not that I'm willing to admit to ;) )
I am planning on setting up a nano sometime this year but at the moment, the tank is in use as a QT for some secondhand live rock. Turns out that it had whitespot (or perhaps velvet) so it's staying fish free for another few weeks. Still, I did pop a couple of cleaners and my new emerald crab in there so there's something to watch.
I guess I've set up a pico too since I spent this afternoon housing some new peppermint shrimp in a tiny tank of their own so that I can grow them on. I got some small ones from reef critters which arrived a minute before Royal Mail's deadline this afternoon - literally  .
I guess the "old hands" will have spotted that I have problems with aiptasia and bubble algae but hey, keeping a reef would be boring without challenges!
Cheers -Gary
