Hi, i thought it would be nice to give my tank a treat and give it some live grub  I was just wondering which was the best. I have: Clown, 4 Striped damsel, cleaner shrimp, sand goby and a few hermits. Thanks for all you help so far. :whew: Sorry i forgot to mention i feed them on frozen prawn, oyster etc from a blister pack. :whistling: PS these emotions are fab :Shame on you:

Brine shrimp but make sure and sive all the original water away. Only introduce the washed shrimp into your system. I do this simply by draining the bag via a fish net and this will only capture the shrimp.

A lot of fish shops sell Brine Shrimp in little bags, theres a couple of plants here in the UK producing tons of the stuff.
Pay around 50p a bag.
Just be aware though theres not a lot of nutrition in brine shrimp at the best of times (unless you buy the omega 3 or spirulina enritched frozen stuff) so buying it live means its been starved of food a bit leaving it more nutrient mean.
Cant see the point myself unless you like the sport of watching your fish catching its food!

True but I have had a cardinal fish in the past that would not eat any sort of dry food and the system was too new to support natural critters. I beleive their is a use for it as it does not decay like pellets etc. Obviously there is a risk of introducing bacteria etc into your setup and as quite rightly pointed out fish food flakes have all the necessary vitamins etc already. This is another open answer that is really down to your own preferences.
