Hi all,
I am looking into getting an ro unit but dont really know much about them. From my limited understanding I believe you have to plumb them into your main water supply which I really dont want to do. The amount of water I will need is tiny about 5-10 gallons every couple of weeks for water changes. What I am asking is there something out there I can just attatch to my kitchen tap and fill up my water containers. Any ideas/ information would be a great help.
Thanks

Yeah you can get an attachment to fit onto a garden tap, or one that connects to a washing machine hose.
Give RO man a ring he will sort you out.

Hi as said by MRTEEE you can get different connecters to plumb the unit in, but you still need a RO unit for marines. There are filters out there that filter water for say Koi or Freshwater fish , but you need at least a 99.9 %waste reduction for Marines. HTH Twiggy:D:D

Hi mate, Id definatley get one. I have mine plumbed into a tape in the garage. They are easy to install and as said above you can get all sorts of adapters.

You can get inline de-ionisers, but, they're just as expensive as, or even more expensive then an RO unit. They also don't last long, and I don't think they give the same amount of TDS reduction as a RO unit..

as mr teee says ro man is THE MAN when it comes to ro units. get one of those self tapping external tap kits from local diy store and plumb an ro unit in, you won't look back.
