Hi Ian how are you doing m8 hope you are feeling better, talk to you soon. Eric
Wow, got in to this hobby around 1980 / 81.
First tank I had was fish only, on reverse flow undergravel. I remember having a Yellow Tail Blue Damsel and a Percula Clown. I was quite taken with their colour.
How things have changed.

Keep freshwater since I was about 8 and still have 1 f/w tank. Converted my main tank from freshwater to marine in 1998.
In fact I remember filling the tank with water, add the salt and then went off to the pub to watch Scotland play Brasil in the first game of the World Cup (France 98) :)

Been keeping marines for just over 2 years. Before that we kept and bred Malawi's for about 3 years and before that had a planted tropical tank for about 2 years.
I first got into fish as a nipper. My dad kept koi in a 22' x 8' x 6' deep pond.
I then got into trops, firstly keeping community fish, then onto malawis. Obviously working with fish I have kept discus, 7 years ago I got into marines and now our shop soley specialises in marine. The company I work for build filtration for public aquariums all over the world (don't know if you are interested in this) as a seperate part of the company.
Thats me.

Had my tank for a year now. First time for aquarium fish for me - but have a koi pond in the back garden. The tank is a lot more interesting though, can sit and look at it for hours (so do the cats!)
34 years - although for the first few years it was more killing than keeping due to lack of knowledge and equipment.
