Due to the recent loss of my Dad, we have decided to sell his beloved Beetle. It has been on ebay this past week but did not go so was wondering if anyone knew of someone who might be interested?
The ebay add is here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=300192041592&ssPageName=STRK:MEUS:IT&ih=020, hope the link works.
Any interest please pm me?
Cheers.

Hi Andy that looks a stunning VW m8, have you tried putting it in the VW owners club magazine as it might have a better chance in there. I had Reliant Scimitar once and could not sell it at all, until i put it in the owners mag andit sold in a week. HTH Twiggy:D:D PS If i hear of anyone i will let you know m8. :D

Try putting an add on www.rubbadubz.co.uk (http://www.rubbadubz.co.uk) Also think 4.5k is about what you will get for it these days the 1303 isnt a fave with the hard core vw fans

Well I've checked out some classic web sites and Beetle sites and may get some ads on there?
On further looking maybe we priced it a bit high, it's in superv condition for 1973 year old car and has sailed through it's past two MOT's. My Dad loved this car and put so much time into it but sadly you never get all that back when you come to sell?
Cheers Caroline and help would be great.

He did actually have two, a red one also which body wise is OK but its a non runner, no engine. Which of course we have one spare also! That as well as numerous parts, carbs, windscreens etc....
None of us can put the time into it so it needs to go to another loving home.
Open to any sensible offers as I hate to see it just sat idle when someone else can get enjoyment out of it.

New engine, some welding underneath, interior needs attention but all seats are there. It was running but was kept as a spares for the orange bug.
Not altogether sure if its for sale as my younger bro is keen to keep it and do it up, if he ever has the time?

My first car was a 1972 bug the guy who had it before me spent around 5k restoring it. I think i payed about 2k for it. Seen it about lately and its off for another restoration now as the guy i sold it to left it stood in a field and the floor is now rotten again. All that said the guy who owns my old one now payed £600 for it as scrap they are starting to go up in price think about 4k is right for a good one these days

Will do, we are not sure about the red one yet, no rush with that one. First things first is to get the orange one sold.

Its actually at my Sisters house, a lot of stuff was moved up there because she has more space than us which includes parking.
It will need ticking over while we still have and if she pops down in it I'll give you call ;)
