I woke up today and looked in my tank and could not find my 2 yellowhead jawfish in the main tank.

I opened my sump cuboard and to my suprise they were both in my sump sandbed. Digging it all up :(

They jumped over the surface wier and went all the way down the plumbing through the bends and out the over end.

I have now made and emergency cover for my overflow wier and siliconed it in place how long will it take to set ? when can I restart my main tank ??

Cheers Mike

I certainly would not have any idea on this one, with no experience of sandbeds. I am sure there must be someone here that could advise you though. 24hrs for the silicon though.

Silicon takes at least 48 hours to dry!

How about wedging(sp?) a bit of egg Crete in the weir????
