Indeed wouldnt be without one, just keep checking with a TDS meter everytime you make a batch up.
Everytime i turn mine on i flush it for an hour or so, then produce water for about an hour, ditch that and then produce the good stuff.

Flush for an hour, Jeeeezzz! 10 minutes at most.

Only takes 5 minutes running to settle down too.
