I have got a Royal Gramma that has got whitespot! I noticed it a couple of weeks ago so I managed to catch him and I gave him a FW dip and left him in the sump. A couple of days later he seemed to be totally clear so i put him back in the main tank and two days later he had whitespot again!! I was advised to put medication in the tank as the whitespot will keep coming back but I was weary of my inverts & corals. Anyway I decided to find a Reefsafe medication so I got Aqua Medic Exodin recommended by the LFS! My Skimmer was turned off and after the second dose 3 days in my corals dont look good at all I have lots of white pulse xenia which has gone very white and has black lines running from the base to the tips of the hands. All the mushrooms in the tank have shrivelled away my SPS look like gonners and my Pussey Coral has also shrivelled. here's some pics:-

Oh no!!! Get some carbon in there and your skimmer back on quick. If you have polyfilter stick that in too and get some water mixing for changes. If you are lucky some of the corals will survive.
FW dips have little effect on WS aside from some instant relief for the fish it's not a cure and as you are finding out there is no such thing as 100% reef safe treatment for WS.
This is a ****** I know but you will have to get all your fish out of there into a suitable hospital tank and treat with either Hyposalinity or Copper. Then you will have to leave your main tank without fish for a minimum of 31 days to make sure the WS is gone, it can't survive without fish.

thats the problem putting these medications in a mixed tank corals don`t seem to like them.if you can catch the fish treat them in a seperate tank, otherwise just leave them to heal them selves.as stated get some polyfilter in and remove as much of the medication as possible otherwise you could lose all your corals,i don`t like adding any medication to my tank.if i do get whitespot i would just drop the sg down to about 1 015 for a couple of weeks i have found this works quite well.derek
