4 line wrasse

Hi ya,

After reading Marine magazine, my fiance pointed out this fish.

its not a fish ive heard or seen alot about.

How are they with other fish + reef corals

Hi Si the 4 line wrasse is like any of the wrasse family it can be aggressive towards its own kind and will have a go. I had a 8 line once and it was a real swine with other wrasses, i had to strip a 5x2x2 down to get it out. Like most fish they are all different as with Tangs and Angels it all depends on the individual fish. There is a book on Wrasses that is a good book to read but i have forgotten who wrote it, i did have it but sold it last year with a lot of other books HTH Twiggy:D:D

as eric rightly says wrasses can be a aggresive, and a pita to catch. i used to have a 6line wrasse that would attack my mandarin. the 6line was voted out! heres a link with a bit of info

It would be the only Wrasse in the tank, not a great fan of the wrasses but ive got to keep her sweet. Im sure the Radiata would show it who's boss.

inbetween 40 -55 depending on size and they are not much bigger than a small tmc clown !!! neil

i think im going to try hunt down a 4-Line Wrasse, a little unusual and in the book it did look nice.
But wouldnt mind knowing where another shop is :)
