Hi im new to marine fish but have kept fish over 40years but i need some advice my ph has gone down to 8.1 i did a water change on wed and it was 8.4 iv used salt from the same source any ideas ? also any thing i can get to remedy it with the malwis i had buffer is it the same with these would appriciate a prompt reply so i can get what ever is recommended in morning thanks im using berlin method and have a resun external for flow ,skimmer 35k of live rock in a 350ltre trigon if this helps.

Yes you can use a Ph buffer , the reading you have given is not too worrying, are you testing for DKH and calcium also?

By the way Seachem do a good PH 8.3 buffer

In my experience a good way to help maintain stable ph is regular water changes. I (usually) do 5 gallon every 2 weeks on a system a little over 30 gallon.
