Awww, they are so nice, especially like the yellow tang pic. Yellow tangs are one of my favourite fish, common as muck but I love them - hence the reason I have 3 ;)

Hi Lenny. Thats a couple of nice fish you have there m8, i like the colour of the Regal nice and blue instead of the pale colour you see them in LFSs. I think i will have to get you to give me some lessons on taking pics like you do as they are stunning. Eric

Regals are amongst my favourite fish. Whilst I like my small 30+ gallon cube, the disappointing thing is not being able to keep one of these fish. Never mind though, there are other stunning fish out there for a smaller tank.

There are great, and I have to agree the yellow is a fab fish and they add a great splash of colour in your tank.....great excuse I say

nice tangs. just bought myself a small Regal, he's settled in nicely and is trying to make friends with my Coral Beauty. He's only half it's size tho :D

I like the Regals. Had one about 15 years ago, it was the size of a 50p piece when I bought it. Within 6 months it was about 8 inch long and an absolute stunner. This growth caught me by suprise at the time.

I had one before but I had to sell him on as he grew too large for my tank. I have a contingency plan for this guy though if he gets too big. He's about the size of a 50p at the mo too.

Enjoy him. They don't half look cute when that small. I have read that they are a bit difficult to keep when that small, although I never had a problem with the one I kept.

how do you keep more than on yellow. i tried it and this guy tore the newcomer to bits so had to remove him for his own good and take him to my friends hospital tank. made full recovery though and now swims in a ten foot tank. lenny

hi lenny, the only way to keep more than 1 yellow tang is to take the existing one out of your tank and go and buy as many as you want all in one go how big is your tank cheers gary

I agree with Gary, the best way to have multiple yellows is to add them at the same time, this is what we did. They do bicker but will eventually sort out a heirarchy, although this can result in the smallest being bullied. They way round this is to keep them all very well fed, so they don't feel the need to kill the smallest in the shoal due to lack of food which is what happens in the wild.

You could try sumping your yellow for a couple of weeks and then buying one or two new yellows and adding them all to the tank at the same time.

If you can achieve this, a shoal of yellows is a real great sight!
