These are great corals to keep , but not for the begginer, as all corals you should give them the best of water quality and the lighting needs to be at least T5 or ideally metal halide. These corals need regular feeds with meaty food, I do well with foods like mysis and cyclopeze.
These corals need good space around them, because they can send out long stinging tenticles.
If these animals are properly cared for, they can be fragged with ease, and then you can pass them on for swops or trade them with your LFS.

Dont worry Mike theres no need to hide in the corner now, we all know the mistakes you made and you have learned from them. In a way thats how a lot of people learn how to have a successful system. :) Eric

I intend to keep them... and am going to attempt under T5's (like you did initially Chris) and I am currently awaiting a 4' 4 bulb Arcadia luminaire, which I am gonna mod to take 6 (maybe) bulbs to allow me to do so. So that fluro green coral in the far end of your "big" display tank I will be after shortly! (if you still have it, and I'm ******ed if I can remember what you said it was called :o )

I have 3 different types including one Euphylia. Had them a year now and all very healthy.

I agree with Steve, they are far more attractive, in my opinion, thans SPS.

Same as Ian in respect of feeding my LPS. I do not target feed. I add no calc or any additives, and just do 2 weekly water changes. All pretty healthy.;)

Got loads of LPS in next week m8, so you'll have plenty to choose from :)
WOW can't believe how many posts :) I'm glad there's a few keeping these wicked corals. I love the fact that they can be target fed and watching them grow in my system is cool , especially when they are big enough to frag. What satisfaction you can get from them :)

My favourite type of coral, although I am too new (tank to new) to even consider them. I'll see how my tank it in a year and maybe will add one or two then. :)

Bought a couple of frags for the nano on Saturday. A very nice hammer frag, and a fantastic alveopora.

When Laura pulls her finger out, she is going to post some pics.
