Hi all,

Well I have been thinking about putting rock on to egg crate for my new tank, on my old one, I had it on to glass.

So, I know putting it on egg crate will (might help ?) flow, the possiable down side is, will it look unsightly?

So, what do you think - Egg crate or not ? (Any pic's out there showing live rock on egg crate - might give me some idea)

and if any body knows of a electrician in Hgte area - let me know - been trying to get one to fit me a mcb & double socket - (seem to be like rocking horse **** in my area).

Hi,

Yes, also good idea - suppose the same question applies - see you have 4x2x2, how have you done your rock (reef rack ?) - any pic's?

I used home made eggcrate & acrylic reef racks in my tank - see if you can spot them:

There's a description on how I built mine in the DIY section (http://www.gillybaby.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=46&Itemid=63) of my website.

I haven't found it particularly difficult to hide them although I know a lot of people do find it a problem and have tossed reef racks out because of it. I'm very happy with mine especially because it makes it look like there's more rock in there than there really is.

Nope, I give up - very nice. Good write up on "how to do" - much appreciated.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks,

Very good also - takes a lot of skill to hide the racking - like your aquascaping very much.

Schuran Reef Racking is a nice thing. We use it in the displays in the Store. It retails at the Ranch for £37.99 it is a nice thing and all the fiddly work has been done for you.
