So true TM!

Ehiem by a mile!

Great feeding device which tumbles the food out and can deliver the exact amount of food you want.

For £30 it will be one of your best buys.

If I ever used an auto feed timer I would make sure and buy a quality branded model. Very risky to buy a cheap model. Not sure what make it was but I read on another forum that the 14 day food allowance was dumped into the tank in 1 go. The lad returned from holiday to find his tank a total wipeout.

I would definitely recommend the Eheim, it's a good reliable piece of kit. :)

It's worth mentioning that you should try and secure the autofeeder in place using cable ties or similar. They don't like getting wet, and like saltwater even less

I'd also recommend using a feeding ring to ensure that the flake enters the water column, and doesn't float straight into a weir.

I'd heard this too but I think the guy was using pellets which made the bin end heavy and the whole thing fell into the tank on the first rotation  So as Subz88 says, its a must that you tie it down and don't just rely on the velcro, especially when using pellets.

I too have the Ehiem autofeeder cause it came highly recommended. I can't comment on its use though as I haven't got round to setting it up yet
