I was up in scotland over the weekend at St Abbs, I was on the beach looking around the rocks when I noticed these little fellas everywere, the pic doesn,t do them justice. It just shows whats in our shores.

I've one of them in my tank, only very small about an inch across. Pops up all over the tank and open out when food is placed in tank.

there are some really colourful types of anemones at least in the south by the shore (not sure if they are further north) they almost look as though they belong in a tropical reef! bright pink tips etc.

did you get it off ebay if so keep a very close eye on it as they supposedly reproduce quite a few youg nems just before they die,
and the last thing you want in your beloved reef is a £5 quid nem fouling your water, then all its young doing the same, apparently they have a life expectancey of 12 months if your lucky ebay have a helpfull topic on this its at the side in the buyers beware bit hth rich..
Could this be why im struggling with nitrates?
