Hi
I am Jay aka FJ and have been doing this great hobby of ours for 17 years.
I am a bit of a rebel who doesn't always go by the books and obviously being a Jock i love bargains and can show you ways that will help you save your hard earned cash.
If you ever come over to see me be prepared for the FJ challenge as many have never returned!!!
I am always here to help so if you need it just drop me a line
Happy reefing
FJ

Hi FJ welcome to the board.
Nice to know someone out there who is willing to take a risk and not do everything by the book. Have been heading that way myself but have been too shy to to mention of any our alternative methods for fear of getting flamed on other boards. With experienced reefers like you as back-up I'm sure this board is going to be the exception

We have a sponsor who will rename nameless :-D (easy to work out) until he comes online. He has a beutiful system. Beutiful corals and fish. Somethings you are told not to do he does it! When you challenge him on this his reasons cannot be argued with. I will send him an email and try and get him posting maybe under an advanced headed forum so not to confuse beginners on his techniques.

Hi FJ, looking forward to turning my brain into a sponge and absorbing lots of knowledge :-D Bought an entire marine set-up from ebay back in June(moving it was a logistical nightmare!) and have learnt so much already but I realise this is one of hobbies where you never stop learning!

Cheers guys!
Started my 1st reef when i was 16 so i am 33 now so thats a good 17 years at it!
Seen so many trends come and go over the years and the natural systems are by far the best!
I like to bend the rules as long as my livestock do not suffer!
I have learned that there are not a lot of shops out there for the good of what they sell but rather sell at all costs!
Dont be afraid to ask on this site no matter how daft you think it is and try and learn as much as you can about every purchase you make.
If anyone is ever over my area you are more than welcome to come and have look at my reef
Cheers
FJ
