another halide problem!

Hi all

Got a bit of an annoying problem! Set my halides up and I'm sooooo happy with the way my tank looks now(pics very soon) but they buzz!! which is driving me crazy! Is there anyway I can stop this or is this a normal thing

Buzzing, this might be a transformer earth problem, but to be honest I am guessing, I know a reefer who is an electrical that might be able to help. Will get back to you shortly.

Hi Dal. Your problem of buzzing could be a vibration from the ballast, i had an old mk1 Arcadia with a separate ballast and if the screws holding the ballast onto the cover worked lose it made a right racket. If you try and hold the ballast when it buzzing see if it makes any difference to the noise. HTH. Eric
