I have a Milwaukee C65 EC Meter which someone has given me.

Problem is I have not a clue what it measures? any ideas please.

That would be for measuring conductivity then, which is directly related to salinty.

IIRC 53 S/cm is about 35ppt, although you should check that

Is this to do with the purity of RO water? it reads 0.35? I have been assured its been calibrated but I didn't get any lotion with it!

To a degree, but you would use it to determine how much salt you have added to the RO. What does it read when you stick it in your tank?
