Just to clear a few things up guys.
Buster has posted his reasons for removing A) the phone number and B) his concerns over the commercial nature of the post.
I stand by his decisions in that nobody should be posting their phone number on a public forum.
I understand why it was done but I also think it is the same as posting your number in a for sale section in the local paper. You are leaving yourself open to the unsolicited telephone calls but you makes your choice and i'm sure the seller knows this. However, would it not have been advisable to state this in a reply or PM maybe so that the seller didnt appear to be aggressively asking why his post had been edited? a little more friendly if u like. People seem to get a bee in their bonnet when they're posts are edited :D
Onto the commercial nature of the post, and the Q's posed by Ray.
Doesn't matter everyone gets the same treatment whether we know them or not.
I've not seen anyone else on here almost accused of running a frag business before no matter how many times they have advertised.
I have also seen at least one instance of a user having a banner advertising their "frags available" click link in their signature. Is anything being done about this?

ray I have pm'ed you. I have not ever seen anyone else bragging about selling frags earning that amount on here either. or selling to lfs's.
the other issue is beyond my control but I will look into it.

Not quite:D, the old nigerian scammers are not going to get your number from the free local rag......

Fair comment Ray.

Because it was discussed at length behind the scenes with the mods and admin, and formed the basis of the decision that we concluded with, in that it would be left up to the discretion of the mods as to what they deemed appropriate,
i.e a regular contributer to the forum, not posting frags, but offering local pick up.
as opposed to the not so regular poster offering frags to all and sundry.
I'm not referring to anyone in particular just some examples.
The comment about selling to shops for £400 (rightly so) raised some suspisions about if this was a 'making money' post or a genuine reefer doing his bit. As such the concerns were raised and the post remained. TBH I can't see the issue here, its not like the thread mysteriously disappeared.......

I just found it strange that this guy was getting picked up on for advertising his frags when others in a similar boat with frag systems were not.
Admittedly it was a little silly shouting about the fact he's sold £400 worth of corals to a shop but it seems he was a little misguided in the way he was trying to ensure the quality of the stock he was selling.
sorry we cant see the behind the scenes stuff. it just looked like someone had taken offence to him for some reason when others get away with it..

Thats the point Ray, no-ones getting picked on, or getting away with it, as if you can sell £400 worth of frags to a shop you are not exactly the average fragger!
Its not like this is the case of supposedly commercial fragging that has cropped on Reefcorals, they have all been considered and are monitored to ensure they don't step over the line.
And just for clarification, the thread is still there?? so I still don't see it as an issue. The concerns were raised in another post that the boundary was getting close to being crossed due to the remarks that were made.

i was just pointing out that if a shop took a large quantity off me they must be good and why did it look as if i was( BRAGGING ) ? i dont have to (BRAGG) about anything thank you:)

Sorry, but who mentioned bragging? I cant see reference to it in my post that you have quoted. I couldn't give two hoots about bragging rights, I'm looking after the rules of this forum.
I was just pointing out that if a shop takes £400 of frags of someone they are not the average fragger, unless the frags are £40 each????

To back up mr Teee!
Anyone selling £400 of frags to a shop is a commercial selller even if it is not payable to the taxman it is still a commercial transaction.
Selling a frag here and there to fellow hobbyists is non commercial and is allowed.
