When i got my moorish they both had a nice long top fin,now one of them has lost a peice off it and the others looks very thin and whispy, not all of it just the top centimetre or so and im a bit concerned as i read that this can happen if the fish wasnt caught correctly.

Both are feeding one more so than the other but both are still in good health and swimming without any problem!

Does this happen? Is it likely that my angels are nipping them?or is this something more sinister?

dont discard the idea that they may be attacking each other, it usually happens after light out and then they will be pals in the day:D

When I had 2 they used to be great swam around together and looked really happy then 1 stated to look a bit thinner than the other and wasnt as eating as much, on night I came down from bed to let the dog out (about 3am) and saw them going at it hammer and tongs yet the next day they where swimming together as if nothing had happened.:D

Steady on Lee you will be a nervous wreck at this rate, just leave them to it and let nature take its course because you cant alter it. Twiggy
