Hi all, have a lovely bi-colour angel which is about 3" and well behaved (doesnt nip corals or attack anything). Thing is i have room now for another fish and not sure what to do.. I want a purple tang or lipstick tang but always wanted a flame angel... Would a flame and bi-colour be ok together in a tank as ive always been under the impression you cant have to angels together??? Its a l00 gallon 4 x 2 and plenty of swimming space:) Anyone know the answer ???

its a chance you take when introducing another dwarf angel, sometimes they dont bother other times they will attack each other.bi colour angels are fairley peaceful, depending on the size of the flame and as long as there is plenty of cover it should be ok.they probally quabble for a couple of days and then they usually settle down, just keep an on them.derek

it's always a risk adding another angel. best way is to turn off the lights as soon as they make a bee-line for one another. they'll probably bicker for a few days but should settle down. I have a Coral Beauty and a Flame Angel in mine, SteveS used to have a bi-colour and a Flame. my CB was in the tank for about a year before I added the flame. They swim around fine together nowadays but still have the odd spat at feeding time chasing each other off the food.

Thanks guys that sounds quite optimistic then. My bi-colour is quite peaceful and only chases my pyjama wrasse for food now and again but never bites or picks on anything.. Looks like its full flame ahead buzzin:D
Now just to find a lovely healthy little fella for a reasonable price:( If anyone knows of one please let me know:)

Blu Zoo had some lovely colourful ones in last weekend. a nice small size, one in particular with good black spot markings. Didnt catch the price but they're usually a lot cheaper from Chris than most places. I paid £65 for mine before Blue Zoo/Mtec opened.

I know they are a pricey fish, i noticed something about flames at blue zoo for about 40 quidish which is a good price although i have just contacted a lfs in immingham (new one to me) and he said £35 for a small and 45 for a large so £35 sounds good to me!:)
