skimmer+miracle mud

hi i use the miracle mud filter for my tank but before i got my new tank i used a D Deltec MCE600 skimmer could i use them both at the same time because 2 filters must be better than one.

IIRC the folk who make miracle mud now recommend light skimming along with the mud so I can't see the harm in it. Especially if you have a high fish stock. I ran an APF600 alongside the mud and it pulled out loads.

My dad had a natural syatem going but has a slight case of slime algae so he added a V2 skimmer in the sump! presto all great!
