Tank should be around 25/77 but mine does go up to around 28/84 on really warm days! [/u]

I run mine the same as Dons1903 although I am tempted to raise a degree or two over winter.

Mine has been running at 25 /26 degrees during the hot spell, but i have 2 6 inch fans on a thermostat that come on at 26 and go off at 25. A with all things with marines stability is the key if it runsat 28 keep it near to that within a degree and you should be ok. HTH. Eric, PS Welcome to Reefcorals Oakwell. :)

Hi
Completley agree with TM!
Stability is the key in any tank and i run my temp around 26 degrees.
The tank is kept cool by 2 B+Q desk top fans and a habistat cool control.
The whole lot cost around £40 and has kept my tank well over the hot spell.
I would also like to add that my tank is upstairs in an open planned house and in front of a window and has 3 halides over it so that is a good enough test if i ever seen one!
Cheers

Hi we keep my daughters tank at 26, but in the hot weather had a desk fan blow accross the surface to maintain temp. Need to check the water level and top up for evaporation if do this to avoid salinity in tank creeping up. :)

Run mine at 28 so when tank warms in summer to 30 there isn't much of a temp increase. Never gets above 30, but to go from 25 to 30 is a big shift.
