I have finished setting up my nano tank, took me all of two days!
The tank is 18"x12"x15" and holds just over 9 gallons with displacement and what have you.
I have a layer of aragonite sand 2" thick that covers the front 1/2 of the tank base and the decoration consists of two large plastic "live rocks" that I have tie-wrapped the corals to.
It is filtered by the external hang-on filter that I removed from the Aqua medic Chromis tank. This has had the bio-wheel removed as the axle was worn out.
Siporax and a polyfilter has been put in instead.
It is lit by a 150 watt, 20 K metal halide.
The stock is:
A pair of percula clowns
A pair of yellow tailed damsels
3 algae eating hermit crabs
2 Sarcophyton leather corals
1 Tridacna crocea
1 small brain coral
1 small moon coral
Hairy mushrooms
Green star polyps
Yellow polyps
Zoanthus poyps
Ricordia mushrooms
There is still room for some more stock, I'll let you know how it goes.
Stay tooned!
