I usually find them in new live rock shipments, but am not due a delivery till end of the month, however i'm sure reef critters could get you 1.

Hi. Mantis shrimps have a large claw that they catch there prey with by wacking them at lighting speed and if they do that at the glass tank it will shatter. There is an aticle about Mantis's i was reading saying that they have the power of a .22 calibre bullet when they use there claw to catch prey, also they are known as thumb splitters as some reefers have had there thumbs split open by them. If any is thinking about keeping one they should put a sheet of perspex or plastic in the tank bottom as Mantis like to dig in the sand and if they get to the glass they try and smash through it. hello threader, i had oneof these critters once,dont know how it got in the tank it just appearsd one day, any way there not very nice to anything else a puffer i had can voice that one as he received a smack in the face when he investigated what he was once
