Anemone dead/dying??

My new anemone is looking 'fluffy?' and alot of waste came off it when i moved it.. is it dead?

Sounds bad, can you post a picture. You haven't got much time if they die, they can breakdown and kill yourtank very quickly

is the stuff coming fron the mouth or from the anemone itself,if it is from the anemone it looks like its started to decompose remove it from the tank straight away otherwise you will have a lot of polution in your tank.once they start to decompose it only takes a couple of hours before its completely gone.derek

Hi Rob how long have you had the tank set up as they like mature water ie 12 months old or older, also have you any powerheads in the tank as it looks a bit chewed up as if it been in a powerhead. HTH Eric:D

Lil fella died, Tanks been up 8 months, was -kinda- near the powerhead.

Hi sorry about your loss,:( nems and powerheads dont mix they have to be covered in foam so they cant get sucked into them. HTH Eric:D
