:( Gutted just got a call from the mrs, shes just found my fire goby on the floor post carpet surf:eek:, Cant believe how gutted i am. Sorry to post depressing message but had to talk to someone about it. Had my reef going over a year now and this is first fish ive lost, and it being half my fault for not covering the top i feel terrible.:( Although im guessing my bi-colour angel was the cause for the jump as ive noticed him swimming round giving other fish the biggun!
Boo....

Hi,
Really sorry to hear of your loss.:(
The idea of covering the tank is good in theroy, but in practise can be a little maore challenging.

Thanks guys, starting to come round. Not deffin now just wounded, still missing the little fella poppin his head out the rocks at supper time:(
I agree with the awkwardness of having the top covered i really like the look of open top tanks and cant resist fiddling now and then so its not easy when the tops covered even with mesh etc
Thanks for your comments, Ovesk8

Sorry to hear of your loss :(
We keep our firefish in a nano tank with hood. They are extremely well suited to nano's/small community tanks with hoods. They seem to spook far too easily in larger tanks unfortunately.
