Had a cleaner Wrasse for about 3 wk now and had read they can be quite hard to feed bt mine seems very greedy am feeding him 2 times a day on mysis or brine shrimps (he does not lke the heads on mysis he spits that part back out) as soon as he sees the tweezers he's there pinching it he can have up to 5 tweezer loads at a time and when i then go to feed my dragonete he's still nicking bit's am i feeding him regulary enough? my scooter seems content on a few shrimps at each feed and wonders off.:confused:

Hi,

Is he taking any flake food at all?

Re: the Brine and Mysis try to get some Kent Zoe, if you can, or Waterlife Vitazin and soak the Brine/Mysis in a few drops in the fridge overnight. This'll get some extra vitamins in to them and should keep them in tip top shape.

Strange as it may seem, they also benefit from some algae in their diet. Had my cleaner for over 3 years now and he is always the first fish to the nori clip. He also likes cyclopeeze and most flake food so long as the pieces are small enough, along with the usual frozen fair. A varied diet will help your fish have a long and happy life ;)

:o The nori clip has nori in it ;)

I buy the nori from Tesco's, 89p for a pack of 5 sheets. My fish go through one sheet a day but your tiny cleaner will probably just pick at a small part of one sheet every few days. A pack will last you ages. Unless you have other fish that would eat the nori, it might be best to try a good quality algae flake instead, eg Formula 1, so long he's eating that sort of thing.
