since moving my fish over to the new tank my red sea cleaner is swimming up and down the tank like mad!!!

Do you all think its stress or just over whelmed at the amount of space its got to swim in now????

Id hate to lose him he's survived both of the wipeout's and ive had him for over 3 yrs now!!!

Any gasping, flicking or is it just doing some lengths?

I would say it is getting use to the new territory if the fish itself looks healthy.

My common cleaner wrasse changed behaviour in exactly the same way when we moved him to the big tank a couple years back. He seems to love the space and swims up and down and round about like he's on speed pretty much from dawn to dusk. Doesn't seem to have affected him much in any other way.

In fact the same behaviour became manifest in my Coral Beauty as well. Its like they can never get over the fact they can stretch their fins and swim really fast :D

I think it must have been over whelmed at the space it has because he seems to have settled down again now:D Thank god!!!

Hi Gilly,

I imagine caged birds feel the same way when let out for a flap about.

I wonder if it's maybe like the feeling you get being up early in the morning, say 5,00am, when no-one is about, you take a deep breath of sweet morning air and the world just seems so, well, spacious. :) before the rest of the monkeys get up and spoil it. lol :D
