hi
was wondering if anybody could think of a reason why my medusa coral would go from this:

PS the bottom 2 are zoomed in, its really shrivelled up now

check the flow on it, possibly too strong and direct.

what are you parameters?

mine go floppy when something wrong:D

As mentioned params need checking mine deflates and sulks when levels stray even slightly but he always comes back in a day or two:)

How long you had it for .... are there any blackish marks on it? What your paras?

Any other corals near it?

Hi Stephen,

I suspect its the flow, looks like its a little to much. Address the flow, and monitor.

eric has just been to see my tank and he said i should try and get some flow to it, but not direct, he said off the glass and rocks so it isnt too powerful :)

update, the base looks a bit roten and about to break on one and the other bit has broken off so shall i cut a little off the stalk (i.e. cut the funny looking base off) and try re attaching it with a rubber band?

are there any little white worms around the base?

not that i could see, where it looks damaged looks a bit like cotton wool being split/stretched apart if you know what i mean

Whats your PH and DKH at? Does the base feel soft or hard?
