Any suggestions on how to make a one way valve less noisey? The ball constanly rattles. I can see myself removing the ball from the valve but then again If I get a power cut the tank will surely lose about 30 gallon.
I suppose I will just need to buy ear plugs for everyone. I have installed it correctly. At the price OF £24 for a 40mm I thought it should be far less noisey. Does anyone else have this problem?

james I take it that you have installed the valve between the return pump and tank.? have you thought about changing it for one of the rubberised valve ones?

didnt know you could get them. I am sure that would be a difference as long as they are ok with salt water.

I have one running on mine and it's been fine for the last 14months or so. Touch wood. There are no metal parts in it at all.
don't ask where I got it from though............. I can't remember:confused:

Hi James. We run the ones with flaps at Aquarius and they work fine no noise at all. Is it to stop water draining out of your tank in case of a power cut if so why dont you drill a anti- syphon hole just under the water level so it stops back syphoning. HTH. Eric
