So in a moment of madness a few weeks ago I took a Picasso off a guy shutting down his tank.
So I need to get it out of my tank, I've had a AM fish trap in the tank since Wed night, the other fish swim in and out of it now problems, but of course, not the trigger.
I baited it with some cockle, and sat holding the cord for hours, but he didn't go anywhere near it!
Tried some frozen mix, which eventually floated out!
Any ideas on what I can bait it with to get him in?
Cheers,
Greg

Hi Greg a rod and line with a barbless hook on will do the job but make sure he is hungry. Eric:D
Is it munching its way through your stock?

i think the only way you will catch it is as erics sugests, starve him for a few days then use hook and line.derek
The easiest method is not to put the thing in there in the first place.;)

Greg, make a bigger trap out of some egg crate or even some plastic coated wire.
Put some rocks in there, and bait up with a couple of bits of cockle.
The larger space and the security of the rocks will mean he is in there in no time.

I always do well with a Hobby fish trap. I hire it out for £1 to the locals.;)

I've got the Aqua Medic fish trap, with 2 pieces of LR in it and 2 one top, so it blends in.
He is tiny, about 1" long, and he still won't go in, but something ate the cockle when I wasn't watching, so maybe it was him!!
He's not touching my current stock, but everything I've read says he will so I want to get him out soonish!
Cheers,
Greg
