I found 4 empty turbo snail shells in a row yesterday?
Any ideas why they have died? as far as i am aware they have o natural predators in my tank!

You have some hermits ;)

I disagree, I think healthy snails will not fall victim to ''reef safe hermits'' unless they are dying or dead. The most likely sceenario with dying or dead snails is bad acclimatisation (sometimes can be up to 4 weeks before they die) or starvation which IMO is the reason most algae eating molluscs die in a home aquarium.

Some of mine fell off the glass and could not ' right ' themselves.
Perhaps this would explain the neat little pile.......

the neat little pile could be them falling of the glass as adam suggests - is there a direct flow from a powerhead just above the pile? Or as tetley said the hermits crabs could have arranged them there.
But going back to my first post - a healthy snail will not fall of the glass in the first place. It will fall off only when it is weak usually due to hunger. Once it falls off and canot get back up due to it being on its back or exhaustion it crustacean food.
