non fishy first. taken at Kirkham Priory Nr. Malton the other week. Just did not realise how dry it had been, almost expected a couple of crocs to slither down the bank. :-D

For some reason, I never seen the text above the photo. Was it always there? I am sure all it said was something non fishy only! Maybe it was my eyes :sleepy:

Hi oak the river is the river Derwent I do beleive that people do fish it but at that section it is private fishing. I think Eric (tangman) would be able to tell you what fish are in that area as I beleive he lives not to far away.

Thats is one sport I have not done in a long time - Fishing. So if anyone can point out any nice trout rivers near Harrogate I will keep them in mind incase I ever find the time to purchase a rod and reel and get back into the sport. There is one river that flows through the town but I have never witnessed anyone fishing there.

most rivers around yorkshire contain trout these days as the quality of water has improved rapidly

used to like river fishing but been disabled cant remember the ones where you can park close to lol

Thanks lads. I having been saying for the past six years now I am going to take the boys fishing. By Autumn I am saying the same old story but referring to next year. I really need to get more organised.
