Just thought I would keep you all informed and post a pic as I know you all like them :) .

Fabricated my stand at the weekend 62x24x30 with no legs in the front, so that I can easily have access to the sump.

I am taking it to get powdercoated today.

Then i can get my glass ordered 62x24x36 :D

Hi Pat what are you putting on that stand as it will hold an Elephant m8:D Well made stand if i may say so, are you filling the void on the top with wood as it might trap your fingers when you lift the tank in. Well done :D Eric

Hi eric, i thought that 62x24x36 was the equivalent of an elephant:D , the top will have a couple of layers of ply and polystyrene to level out any imperfections.

it's not the mini services place hedon road is it? Bloke on merfleet lane has a nice light blue restored mini and a red clubman with checked roof, pass them every morning on my way to work, I think he used to have something to do with them years ago when I had mine.

It is an impressive stand, and a different build from the normal wood type we see regularly.

Look forward to seeing you progress this one.

That will look very professional when Its done Pat. Are you cladding it afterwards?

Oh, has your mini mate got a website? I didn't know there was a mini place in Hull. I have 2 that I'm rebuilding at the moment.

Hi mate, yes the whole stand is 1/4" narrower than the top angle, the plan is to clad it in 1/4" ply and fit a pair of doors to the front:)
