View Full Version : newbie with very basic setup

hi every one the names dave, just thought i better had introduce myself before i start. :D
i am new to marines and have a very basic setup which has been running for six months without any problems, i keep soft corals and a few fish.

1 pr tomatoe clowns
1 yellow goby
1 dwarf angel- chaetodontoplus caeruleopunctatus
the dwarf angel doesnt look like any pics on the web so i will post a couple of pics to see if anyone can identify it for me, it has a deep purple velvet appearance with a white tail and a reddish head with electric blue borders to the anal and pelvic fins, any ideas please let me know

well from what the latan name that u said it is the bluespotted angelfish.

Thats what I did Callum, but thats nowhere near the description given and its not a dwarf.:D

i just went by the latin name

u r right i just relised reading the latin name that its not centropyge which a dwarf angel name begins with in latin.

iam on a mission now i will find it!! unfortunalty nothing in my book angel wise looks like the description

adam is your pic a whitetail pygmy angelfish? because if it is i agree that is the dwarfangel fish i can find that best fits the description

It's common name is a velvet dwarf angel, oh and welcome aboard;) :D

membrane was shot:( , giving out 120TDS after an hour of flushing.

Pump and the other 2 canisters have been put together with my old system, and I now have an 8 stage RO unit:D
