More on sumps

Just been reading on melevsreef about sumps cortesy of Mr Teee.
Very informative, think I know what I want now.:)

It mentions using a Black acrylic weir, I was going to use glass. Are there any issues with this other than you will see through it until the alge builds up?

Also is a Durso Standpipe a good idea.

And where am i best buying my plumming from ?:D

Other than what you have mentioned, no difference between glass and acrylic.

The yanks love to use acrylic as it is so cheap over there and you can work with it at home.
