Just tested the water out of my tap. (I do it for fun 8) )

Once again after a hot summer, Legally unfit for human consumption. TDS reading of 623 and NO3 read of 25ppm. (Due to the leakage of fertilizer (NO3 heavy) and other farm waste into the water system)

I don't mind buying a new RO membrane every 12 months etc etc but they are trying to push through water meters!!

I'll pay for the 10% of water I can use AFTER the RO unit but they can have the 90% of rubbish back and probably pay me for cleaning it up for them.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

Just had to vent that one :?

Oh well, time to order some more DI filter resin

Interesting, I was talking to my neighbour the other day who works for severn trent water (I'm in Leicester) who said there is very little chlorine or nitrate in our water supply as its all upper catchment and lake water.
Hes going to get me a test printout as soon as he can and I will let you all know the results.
p.s. I have stopped using R.O. for over 6 months now, all I use is tapwater dosed with prime for topups and for water changes I use prime and reef crystals which has a heavy metal detoxifier for tap water added to its ingredients. There has been no detrement to my tank and I still have red slime algae, damn will that stuff never go??
