just got 1 of these wavemakers to replace 1 of my noisey Koralia, it looks identicle and performs like a dream for a snippet of £20 posted with great service...

Watch that magnet, they aren't saltwater proof. These are great pumps but you have to clean and inspect them fairly regularly as the metal components do corrode after a while. They are from China-you can
get them cheaper if you import them yourself you just have to wait a while.

the model i got differs from the item shown in the ebay pic and is identicle to the koralia and has ceramic parts

Ive used a couple off these for a couple of years . You have to watch the cable where it enters the pump body as it gets brittle with age and then splits . I spent ages trying to find what was tripping my electric and thats what it was .
Now replaced with new wave .

wire is rather short on it too, i've discovered my Koralia 4 has a broken shaft so i'll use untill replacement arrives...

They work a treat , like I said had mine around 2 years before the wire split .
I also have a OR6500 that this has happened to . ( this also tripped my electric ).

i had one which exploded in my tank, flash, bang the works. had my hand in the tank about 2 minutes earlier.

the wiring looked in good shape, wasn't that old. if anything it may have been the metal shaft causing the impellor to jam. went in the bin, and so did my pants.

haha, that fills me with confidence for dipping my arms in lol, it's deffo only a replacment till i can get some Koralia ceramic shafts
