halide bulbs?

hi all

I'm stuck I don't know weather the halides I bought came with the right bulbs for marine use? They are Phillips mhn-td 150w double ended ones. If anyone could shed some light on this I would be grateful thanks Dal

A quick search on the Phillips Lighting web site shows that these bulbs have a colour temp of only 3000K!

You really should be looking at 10,000, 14,000 or 20,000K depending on how 'blue' you want your tank to look.

oh I see so if i get the same type of bulb but in 10 or 14k that will be ok!
