My LPS Dominated Betta 680

I thought I'd share my tank with you, it's a Betta Lifespace 680.

I started reefing in january of this year, I bought a Kent Bio Reef and within 2 months I wanted something a bit bigger so I managed to find a sumped tank at a decent price.

Thank you, I've only had one issue, I had two candy canes close together as I figured they'd be ok being the same type of coral and the bigger one killed a few heads on the smaller one. Other than that things have been fine, most of the euphyllias on the right hand side are touching each other.

how the hell are you picking up the glowing greens.
I have tried all the differnt settings and the camera
still cant pick them up properly.can recover the colours
with photoshop but its not the same

I don't know if I'm honest, I used M mode f8, ISO 500, Shutter 25, maybe it's my lighting as it's a 20K BLV bulb?

I've not got anything to compare it to, I've only been reefing since January and using MH lighting since May. I've gone for colour rather than growth as everything is close to each other and fast growth would make my life difficult. Stuff is getting dangerously close in places so soon I'm gonna have to intervene.

When using 20k bulbs, is there a tip on how to remove the blue hue on the pics, so they look like the way yours do?

Erm, I'm not sure mate, my pics have pretty much always come out this way without me consciously trying to alter them, I just snap them and sometimes turn up the exposure in aperture when I edit.

I had to shut my system down today, to cut a long story short the base of my tank went..

LOL. Well I took the tank to the tip today, there was water between the base and bottom glass panel, seems a seal went letting water in to the base. Could of happened a month or so ago and over time just split... Yesterday I was in a bit of a state, ended up drowning myself in a bottle of whisky but today i'm much better. My fish are safe so that's all that matters. Will start a new thread for the new tank.

Yeah, I lost a candy cane this morning but my corals are in the safe hands of marine life uk, very grateful to adrian for taking them. I agree, could of been much worse.
