Not long from returning from a client that bought a box of cleaner and fire shrimp. Well he handed back two bags of fire shrimps and said they were DOAs (Dead on Arrival). I returned home and before putting them down the toilet I tried slowly acclimatising them both even although there was no sign of life. And as I thought (due to their pigment colour). They were still alive. Hopefully they will pull through. So unless it is falling apart, has went cloudy you should always try to revive a supposedly lost cause. You may get a surprise.

I agree, it is surprising how tough some of these animals are - corals in particular.

Acropora are often arrive dry (the bags split during shipping), and the animals are fine - and these are 'apparently' the most fragile coral species there is!
