Live postage

I know some stockist sell SH via post/courier, i am thinking this one through.
I hope to be ready to get some in about 5 weeks and i am unsure about purchasing via online and postage or whether to take a long drive to get them.
Who has experience of this method?

I must admit to wanting to see before i buy but i was intrigued as people do it, and i suspect if someone purchased stock that was not acceptable there business would soon drop of due to the power of forums, a good point though.
