Our tank has been recovering from our ammonia fart, and there was a little visitor that appeared just after our water change, small white worm, swimming freely in the water and being blown around by the water pump, it was about 1cm long and white with a black head, wiggling around like crazy while being blown around, any clue who this little guy is? ive looked up parasites etc but havent managed to find out who he might be....he's in hiding now so cant get a photo....

Sounds like a Mongolian Death Worm to me...you're DOOMED!
Actually that's the title of a really bad film i just watched so you're safe...not sure tbh what it could be, i have lots of worms of one sort or another, most are pretty harmless, have a butchers at this guys site, it might be on there..

Bristleworms are an essential part of a marine tank as they clean up all uneaten food and dead stuff, its when folk overfeed there tank that they grow large but they still wont do any harm. Some folk say they kill fish but i have not found this as i had one that i took out of a tank i stripped down that was about 5 foot long and as thick as my thumb and i never had any problem with it.
