Sorry for the delay, but it's time I introduced myself. My name is Mick and I live in Mansfield, Notts, I am well into fish, I have a pond outside, I go fishing in the UK and Florida and my marine tank and to finish off I'm a Pisces, I found this site while browsing the net trying to find out my "wierd worm thingy" and you guys put me straight on the right track so a big THANK YOU for that, I am reasonably new to this hobby although I have had my tank a Trigon 190 set up for about 18 months which at the side of some of your tanks is most definately a puddle, I have taken my time with it and my total fish stock at the moment is 1 clown , I only ever intend putting 4 or 5 small fish in it but I am in no rush, however I do have various crabs, snails, 2 cleaner shrimps, 1 peppermint shrimp and my tiger tail (the wierd worm thingy) I also have some mushrooms and 3 anenomes which was one tiny thing attached to the mushroom rock when I got it and it has now grown quite a bit, it was that small I didn't get charged for it, well now you all know a bit about me and hope you won't mind to much if I stick my 10 penneth in now and then.

Thank you all for your warm welcome, it's 3 days before I'm another year older, having read some of the posts already I think I can learn a lot from you all if you have no objections, I am always willing to learn as my knowledge is very limited and it's nice to have a chat with people who share the same interests as you and it's got to be better than watching the square box or is it flat panel now in the corner

Yeah just ask any questions you like Mike, I know when I was strating out, I wanted to ask loads of (seemingly) stupid questions, but would not due to fear of ridicule.
Nobody on here will take the mick, we try to be as helpfull as we all can.

Yup they are, I don't have a vast amount of knowledge about marines, but I have gained a little experience and if I can help someone avoid the mistakes I made then I am quite pleased to be able to do that, I have only been a member for 5 days but the amount information I have read and the knowledge that you all have, I wish I had found this site when I first started it would have saved me from a lot of pitfalls, and at the end of the day we all share a common interest, which is the welfare of our tanks

Hi Mick,
I am also relatively new to Marines and like you did a "google search" and registered with lots of sites.
Thanks to a member on here, i now frequent this place more than any other by some margin.
Great people, great advice.... they like their pics too if you hadn't noticed!! :D
Welcome aboard!

Yes they seem a really nice friendly bunch of folks and the amount of information is unreal, you wont get this amount out of a book, and there is no substitute for experience and these certainly have that, it's better that having loads of books, I don't think I will come across any problem that someone on here has not already had or knows the solution to.
