Hi Guys,

Hope this works ok....some initial pics of my tank...Not too much stuff in at the mo as you can see...taking it nice and slowly and following Roy's advice at Interfish.

Tank = Aqua Medic Percula 90 = 270litres

Turbofloter Skimmer

5 x 1000lph circulation pumps

1 Maxijet 1000 with Hydor rotator

1 x Seio 820 pump

40kg Live Rock - corraline spreading like mad! :D

3 Red Sea Chromis - big uns!

2 Common Clowns

6 Turbo Snails

6 Red Leg Hermits

2 Cleaner Shrimp

1 Fireshrimp

1 Pulsing Xenia - small but loving it!

1 Leather - growing at an alarming rate!!

1 Green Mushroom Coral - spreading like mad

1 Sponge

couple of pieces of Red Algae - just for a bit of colour :)

Tank Params:-

Amm=0
Nitrite = 0
Nitrate = 15ppm
PH - 8.1
Phos = 0
Temp - 25c - climbs to 26c over course of day
SG = 1.027

Pretty pleased so far...letting the tank settle for a bit now (6-8 weeks) before any further additions. ;)

ps

No David Bailey..so dont laugh at quality too much!!:p

Any feedback good or bad welcomed.

Many Thanks and Best Regards,

Martin

Me too, but then we use it daily cause of the nitrate problem :(

iv allways believed not to leave any mag cleaner in the tank as they are not 100% water tight, even if they get a hair line crack in that you dont notice:eek:

Thanks for the comments everyone...much appreciated.

Didn't know about not leaving the magnets in so i have learnt something there...thanks.

Tank has been running for nearly 6 weeks...i know i know :D...risky business stocking it like i have but i must say that each step of the way i have tested and tested and listened carefully to Roy and his advice on stocking...i was lucky in that i got fab live rock and pretty much didnt have any cycle at all.

The chromis went in after week 2, the corals after week 3 and the clowns after week 4 and the shrimp after week 5....have tested all the way and used Stability for extra insurance.

Now going to relax and see what happens...i truly cannot beleive the stuff coming out of the rock...fan worms, feather dusters, copepods etc etc...no sign for Aiptasia yet but i am sure i will get a hit sooner or later.

Hope to post more pics as the tank matures over the next few months.

Many Thanks and Best Regards,

Martin
