Waiter! There's a Squid in my tank!!??

So today I did a bit of remodelling of my rockwork, the tanks been pretty stable for the past couple of weeks, getting ready to add a fish or two, so I figured re-scape now while it's still pretty empty.

It went ok, not perfect but better than it was, so I was just sat there admiring my handiwork, when out of a hole in the rock came a small squirt of black stuff....then some more, then some more..thick viscous inky back stuff, just like I imagine squid ink would be like, anyone seen this before or know what the hell it could be lurking in this hole in the rock???

There is alsorts in live rock thats why its named live rock, it could be anything as some snails puff out clouds when spawning Twiggy

We saw a snail spawning in mine the other day unless it was having a fag

True enough I guess, I keep seeing odd stuff in the tank, white coloured clouds etc, but this looked very odd, jet black, as i say first thing i thought of was squid ink....I keep watching the hole in that rock now to see if anything shows its face..

He probably spawned then had a post spawning fag, I used to!
