Hello All! :)

Just had a little nosey into my tank and noticed quite a lot of eggs on a rock that the clowns have been taking a liking too :) - so i now have some eggs! :)

I really want to give it a go at raising them... i think the best idea for me is to use the green water method ... do a big water change into a brand new circular black bucket - stick in an wooden air stone ... 2 days no water change - 3 - 6 days 10% water - 7-14 25% water change...

I just need to get some phyto and roti's on the go ... altho what do you think is best? - i didnt notice the eggs yesterday but not sure what stage there at... there not quite orange and have a grey silluoete around it and theres a small ball inside (the egg) with a smaller eye? or something...

Are they v.good quality or not? - im not sure... also im pretty sure there like a day old - (layed last night) ... so any help would be great?

Ive read extensively but could do with some experience more than anything else...

many thanks

Brad

Do you think they could survive on there own? - if i take the chromis into my other tank? - there are loads of little microscopic things living on the glass... or are these not enough.

dont think i have enough time to get a roti / brine / phyto culture going (atleast not enough roti's for defo) so gonna leave them for now to try and get them to get it down to a fine art ... try and see if they do it on a regular basis and get it at the right time... seems such a shame as they are protecting them so much looking after them thinking there gonna have little baby fry to bring up :( ...damnnn

The problem with clowns is that they eat their young. Seems crazy when they care for them so well when they are eggs.
When you see some silver eyes they tend to hatch an hour or two after lights out that same night.
