Hi all

Not posted on here for a little while... I check everyday still. Just hadn't had anything to post :(

Anyway ... My tanks been alive for around 5 months now I think ? Anyway ...

Iv had a little problem with cyno at the start and then my goby died like a few weeks ago.., I have no idea how. Iv not even found it! Shined a torch everywhere for about an hour and kept checking... I do have an issue with about 3 Mythrax crabs kicking around in there and a loud clicking sound on a night, (could be a pistol shrimp I'm not sure) Iv never seen it... Even on a nigh****ch! My thoughts is that it has been well and truly eaten :,(

I'm going to cut the back black strip off and going to put cheato in the rear middle chamber with some LEDs on the outside ... I hope this will be enough to grow it as it needs something. My nitrates have never hit below 30 and now I'm having cyno problems

Just a few pics for your guys: always tried to clean the front and sides but the sides are just really bad now:

Not sure what to do:

What you's think?

Coming alive? :)

Or going down hill?

I'm not sure. Iv had no sulking in corals ever.

New tank syndrome, keep on top of water changes, plenty of flow, phos remover and chaeto would be good. All new tanks go through these stages at some point ime.

Totally agree with the above replies, as my tank looked like a sunny summer meadow it was THAT covered with green hair algae etc, and I did remove when I could be bothered to do something with the tank (yup, was that fed up with it etc) but keeping on top of water changes etc, I now have a spotless tank (well 2 or 3 tiny spots of green hair aglae that dosnt want to budge! but I can live with it as barely enough to grab hold of etc. so stick with it and the cyano will dissapear!

On a sidenote, is that an astrea star on the glass in pic 3 ? I know a lot of people remove them as they can sometimes eat what you dont want them too etc, as ive got a couple in mine and mine eat the small sponges that grow in the tank but I never see them when im doing stuff in the tank, and only see them just as im heading out the door! as I want to remove them before they become over populated and then start looking for other things to eat.
