copperband?don't think the're generally regarded as reefsafe but have a look at this, they don't seem to have a problem mixing them with corals, plus the fish following the cursor's cool :)

You always have to assume any Butterfly will have a nibble, but, you can't really tell until they get in your tank, my collare is fine but another could create havoc.

These might be worth looking into.

Copperband
Longnose
Schooling bannerfish

The pyramid butterflyfish (hemitaurichthys polylepis) is reef safe

never had a problem with copperbands or long nosed butterflys.some you can keep with corals but most will have a peck at them.copperbands i have found will attack feather dusters or fan worms but very little else.derek

Just a wee word of warning about the long nose butterflies. We added one to our tank and the experience still haunts me to this day cause we didn't think it through properly. With 3 resident yellow tangs the poor thing never stood a chance. It upset me a great deal. So if you have a yellow tang already you might want to sump it before adding the long nose.

Funnily enough the tangs didn't bother when we added the foxface (same colouration as the long nose). Guess the venemous spines make a big difference

to be honest yellow tangs just don't 'float my boat' if you know what I mean.....therefore I thought the longnose might add some much needed yellow colour to my tank:D

There's an article in this month marine world detailing several butterfly's that are deemed by the author to be reef safe, how easy or hard these are to get hold of, I don't know.
